Welcome to Bellingara Stud

Warmblood Stallions

We have progeny by the following stallions at our stud. We do not stand these stallions at our stud.

Ferro

At the national stallion inspection in 1990, Ferro scored a brilliant set of marks for his performance test; three 9s and five times 8.5, he was Champion of his year. At four years of age he was Reserve Champion of his first National Stallion Jumping Competition.Ferro

Ferro has had a very impressive career in dressage. In 2000 Ferro gained 80% in Zwolle giving him first place. In Neummunster (Germany) he was winner of the World Cup Championships. At Den Bosch he placed 2nd in the World Cup finals with 80%, and first in the pre-rounds of the World Cup games. Ferro won the Grand Prix of Iserlohn (Germany) with the top score of 75.36%.

At the Sydney Olympic Games in 2000 Ferro gained an individual score of 74.92%. His dressage performance was without fault. He won a third place and that was enough for the Dutch team to get the silver medal.

Olympic Ferro has also proven himself as a pre-potent sire of outstanding progeny. Out of 6 stallions that were approved in the stallion selection in Ermelo in 2000, two were sons of Ferro. In addition the KWPN previously approved 6 sons, Kennedy, Metall, Negro, Paddox, Pyriet and Osmium. One son was approved by the NRPS, Ferrolan. The British AES approved 2 sons, Jazz Dancer and Lorenzo. In the year 2001 two stallions from Ferro were approved by the KWPN, Rousseau and Rhodium.

At Den Bosch in 2002 he had 9 sons competing for approval. He also had an American bred son gaining Oldenberg approval in Germany. At Ermelo at the Dutch Championship of selection of 3 yr old mares, three daughters of Ferro, two mares from a daughter and a son all ended in the top 10. At the new stallion examination in Ermelo, 11 sons were allowed to the second inspection in s'Hertogenbosch in 2002.

The offspring of Olympic Ferro do extremely well in both dressage and jumping. He has became No 1 on the BN World stallion rankings in dressage.
